Not The Rhone, Not Beaujolais. Somewhere In Between:
2018 Deplaude de Tartaras Hop La & La Chanse

Deplaude de Tartaras is technically from Coteaux-Du-Gier. More accurately, this is the middle of nowhere between the northern Rhône and southern Beaujolais.

The wines are truly noteworthy for their purity and drinkability.

2017 Gonon Saint-Joseph

The amount of gracefulness that Gonon is able to coax from the hills of Saint-Joseph is extraordinary. It's no wonder that the wines have gone cult.

Allemand Cornas: 2017 Chaillot & Reynards

I'll keep this short. Allemand's reputation is too big, and the quantities are too small to drag this out. Allemand's wines are very special. It's hard not to agree with Vinous Media's Josh Raynolds when he writes: "let me state unequivocally that there is no estate in the entire Rhône Valley making finer wines."

Untamed Côte Rôtie - Magnum Edition:
2017 Levet Côte Rôtie La Chavaroche Magnums

Levet's Chavaroche is one of the most unyieldingly traditional and fascinating wines currently being made in the northern Rhône. Neal Rosenthal, Levet's importer, aptly sums up the wines: "If you want the truest of Côte-Rôties...if you admire both the intellectual and the savage, then this is a must-buy wine."

Hermitage Greatness Meets Value:
2015 Chave Hermitage Farconnet

For the ultimate combination of prestige and value, we turn to Chave’s Hermitage Farconnet. Chave’s regular Hermitage bottling is one of the greatest wines from the northern Rhone and currently sells for hundreds of dollars per bottle. The Hermitage Farconnet, which is part of Chave’s negociant label, maintains every bit of Chave’s exacting standards but costs just a fraction of the price.

The Crown Jewel of the Northern Rhône: 2017 Chave Hermitage

It's early in the game, but it's very likely that Chave produced the greatest northern Rhône wine in 2017. Of course, this isn't a surprise. The Chave family is Rhône royalty.

The Swan Song For A Cornas Master
2006 Robert Michel Cornas La Geynale

When Thierry Allemand was a young man, he worked at Michel's domaine and describes it as a formative experience.

“Excellent clarity and lift”
2017 Levet Côte-Rôtie Les Journaries

Levet’s wines are some of our favorites from the northern Rhône. They are true masters of old-school Côte-Rôtie.

Untamed Côte Rôtie: 2017 Levet Côte Rôtie La Chavaroche

Levet's Chavaroche is one of the most unyieldingly traditional and fascinating wines currently being made in the northern Rhône. Neal Rosenthal, Levet's importer, aptly sums up the wines: "If you want the truest of Côte-Rôties...if you admire both the intellectual and the savage, then this is a must-buy wine."

Here Today, Gone Tomorrow
2018 Xavier Gérard Saint-Joseph Le Blanchard

Anytime that we offer Xavier Gérard's Saint-Joseph Le Blanchard, it sells out within hours.

Back-Vintage Chave
2007 Chave Hermitage Rouge

We always come back to Chave’s Hermitage. It’s one of our favorite wines in the world. Today, I'm very happy to offer a small parcel of sharply priced 2007 Hermitage.

Legends In The Making: 2015 Guigal Côte-Rôtie La Turque & La Mouline

Simply put, there's nothing like Guigal's La La's. Guigal is Rhône royalty and their single-vineyard "La La's" are the justly acclaimed jewels in the crown.

2017 Gonon Saint-Joseph

The amount of gracefulness that Gonon is able to coax from the hills of Saint-Joseph is extraordinary. It's no wonder that the wines have gone cult.

New Talent in the Northern Rhône:
2017 Domaine de l'Iserand Saint-Joseph Les Sabots de Coppi

The northern Rhône has become an obsession of ours and we're constantly scouting out fresh talent. It's very rare that we find a relative new comer that checks all the boxes when it comes to value, purity and sheer honesty.

A Dream Brew, Last Chance
2015 Jean-Luc Jamet Côte-Rôtie Terrasses

I feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to reload on Jean-Luc Jamet 2015 Côte-Rôtie Terrasses Our initial offering in the spring sold out quickly, it's nice to have more to offer. If you missed the original offer, I strongly advise you snap some of this up. There's little hope of landing another parcel.

The Perennial Overachiever Revisited:
2016 Jamet Collines Rhodaniennes IGP

In the Northern Rhône, 2016 is shaping up to be an absolutely beautiful vintage. For people who love classically styled vintages (think of 2010 and 2013), this will be an important vintage.

2015 Gonon Saint-Joseph

When it comes to Gonon's wines, the world has turned upside down. Gonon's Saint-Josephs have attracted a cult following and landing the wines has become an arduous and expensive endeavor.

"Grab northern Rhône 2015 reds with both hands" Half-Bottle Edition:
2015 Jamet Cote-Rotie Half-Bottles

Jamet's Côte-Rôties have few peers in the entire Northern Rhône. It's pretty much that simple. They are amazingly elegant, precise and clear.

2015 Chave St-Joseph

Along with Pierre Gonon, Chave produces our favorite expression of St. Joseph. Few producers are able to render Syrah with as much depth, detail and sophistication.

A Dream Brew
2015 Jean-Luc Jamet Côte-Rôtie Terrasses

Last week, we introduced the Côte-Rôtie of Jean-Luc Jamet. By the afternoon, we were sold out and allocating bottles. Today, we're happy to offer Jean-Luc Jamet's glorious 2015 Côte-Rôtie Terrasses.

Rhone Royalty Unembellished
2015 Faurie Hermitage Greffieux/Bessards

There is no grander, more regal expression of Syrah than Hermitage. Bernard Faurie is one of the great old traditionalists of Hermitage.

"Massive Minerality"
2011 Clape Cornas

Clape really nailed the 2011 vintage. I was very happy to come across this modest parcel recently.

Back Up The Truck - Rhône Royalty Edition
2015 Chave St. Joseph Offerus

When Chave's St. Joseph Offerus is on, it can be shockingly good. In the past few weeks, I tasted through a cast of vintages that we had laying around here - 2010, 2013, 2014 and 2015. When it came to 2010 and 2015, the wines really blew me away. I immediately went deep on the 2015.

The Perennial Overachiever
2016 Jamet Syrah Collines Rhodaniennes IGP

In the Northern Rhône, 2016 is shaping up to be an absolutely beautiful vintage. For people who love classically styled vintages (think of 2010 and 2013), this will be an important vintage.
