Drouhin turned out stunning 2014s. Across the lineup, the wines are pure, precise, and beautifully representative of each site. The 2014 Gevrey highlights this. This is a textbook example of Gevrey.
Gevrey-Chambertin is possibly the most famous of Burgundy's red wine-producing villages. Its combination of muscle, impact, and sheer class makes it very memorable.
Drouhin's 2014 Gevrey flaunts what makes Gevrey so special. There are soaring floral top notes with dark red fruits, earth, mushrooms, and Gevrey's tell-tale meatiness.
Drouhin is one of my go-tos in Burgundy when it comes to purity, terroir expressiveness, and value. The 2014 Gevrey serves as a perfect example of these qualities. Finding Gevrey with some bottle age at this price is rare. I urge you to take advantage of this while you can.
