Punching Above Its Weight Class:
2015 & 2016 Bachelet Côte de Nuits-Villages

Bachelet’s top-to-bottom quality is staggering. You can taste at any level, from the Aligoté to his epic Charmes-Chambertin, and be thoroughly impressed.

"A lovely sense of detail and vibrancy" -Burghound
2019 Bachelet Côte de Nuits - Villages

The 2019 takes the stony core and builds a subtle soil inflected minerality that's rendering with incredible precision. There are ultra-clear layers of red fruits and a beautiful textural elegance.

"Excellent"
2019 Bachelet Gevrey VV

When you catch Bachelet's Gevrey in a vintage like 2019, the wine can simply floor you. It has a class and complexity that village-level wines pretty much never have.

A Perfectionist Hitting the Mark
2017 Bachelet Gevrey-Chambertin VV

Bachelet's Gevrey exists on its own plane. On paper, it's a village-level wine. In reality, it radically transcends the category.

There's not much to say about Bachelet's Côte de Nuits. For over a decade, this has been a go-to wine for me.

Red Burgundy 1995-2013: d'Angerville, Bachelet, Barthod, Lignier, Rousseau, Roumier & More

It's been a while since I put a list of red Burgs together and I had fun with this one. There are lots of back vintages from some of my favorite producers.

It's rare to see this level of quality...
2010 Bachelet Côte de Nuits - Villages

We first offered Bachelet’s 2010 Côte de Nuits Villages back in 2012, and it was one of the best versions of the wine I had tasted. So when another small parcel became available, I jumped on it.

Radically Transcending A Humble Category:
2013 Bachelet & Chevillon Bourgogne Rouge

As far as the Burgundy hierarchy goes, Bourgogne Rouge doesn't amount to much. Still, there's a very select few Bourgogne Rouge that get chased down by serious collectors. Today, I'm excited to present two of the best, Chevillon and Bachelet. These are bottles that we buy and cellar every year and drink after being in the cellar for 7-10 years.

Beguiling - 2013 Bachelet Charmes-Chambertin VV

Bachelet's Charmes-Chambertin is among the rarest treasures of Burgundy. Bachelet has 0.44ha of nearly 100 year-old vines in Charmes. For us, there's no better example of the Grand Cru than this.
