"Offers very fine quality for its level"
2017 Tribut Chablis

Posted by Ian McFadden

Tribut made gorgeous 2017s.

I'm shocked to be lucky enough to have another opportunity to offer his 2017 Chablis AC.

Tribut's 2017 collection has the richness and presence of the vintage with an intense salty, Chablisienne minerality coursing through it.

When it comes to Tribut's 2017 Chablis AC, it's undoubtedly one of the greatest vintages of the wine we've tasted. The 2017 has an uncommon amount of complexity and presence.

What's most striking is that the wine hits this extraordinary level of punch and length while maintaining a very classical profile. The 2017 Chablis is beautifully oceanic with the jagged mineral snap of archetypal Chablis. There's a sculpted purity defined by subtlety, balance, and nice detail. You’ll find a quarry of crushed rocks, fluorescent moss, briny seafoam, yellow-green fruit, and chalk.

Tribut's 2017 Chablis is a dazzling and full-force expression of Chablis' unique minerality. When I came across this parcel, I jumped on it. I suggest that you do so as well. Tribut made some of the most impressive wines of the vintage and this Chablis AC punches well above its weight class.

Burghound: "There is excellent Chablis typicity to the nose that combines notes of pear and apple with those of quinine, iodine and algae. The succulent, round and pliant medium-bodied flavors possess a satiny mouth feel before concluding in a saline, dry and sneaky long finish. This offers very fine quality for its level and is worth a look."
