In 2022, the wines of this domaine are incredible. There’s an extra dimension of depth and breadth to these wines from the top to the bottom of the range.
Mugneret-Gibourg's Chaignots may be the most elegant example of Nuits around. The 1er Cru Les Chaignots is situated on the northern side of Nuits, abutting Vosne-Romanée.
The 2022 possesses the gorgeous weave of spicy, floral aromatics of Vosne, and the saturating, muscular palate of Nuits. What's most striking about the 2022 is its harmony and overall composition. There's a velvety texture with incredible balance and elegance.
I'll wrap this up. Mugneret-Gibourg is one of the most loved and consistent producers of red Burgundy. For fans of their Chaignots, the 2022 is not to be missed.
