A few weeks ago, we emailed about the 06 Monprivato bottles, and we promised that we'd get a few magnums to offer to Piedmont supporters...

Today we fulfill that promise and spread a little extra holiday cheer: rare magnums and even rarer double-magnums.

As you'd imagine, this is a small tranche so today we're taking orders - please give us your dream order and we'll do the best we can.

As we said in our 2006 Monprivato email, a good comparison for the 2006 vintage may be to the 1989s, which Antonio Galloni called "one of the greatest wines ever made - from any region." Mauro Mascarello is an old-school rock star making some of the most nuanced, alluring and ageworthy wines the world over.

The aging potential here (like the 89s) will be outstanding, and as you know, larger formats make for even more ageworthy cellar treasures. These will undoubtedly improve for many decades to come.
