2007 Raveneau AC Chablis
Premiere Vintage of Raveneau's "Simple" Village Wine

There's not much we can say that we haven't already said about Raveneau.

If you're reading this then you are a fan of Chablis and if you are a fan of Chablis than you really should experience a Raveneau, at least once. You are unlikely to ever find a Raveneau that's this affordable, so if you're game for a spin, this is your bottle.

Summer Mixed Case
A Fresh Mix of our Favorites for Summer
BIG SAVINGS: Every Bottle Discounted 20%!

July 4th is just around the corner - how did that happen? With the green market exploding with summer vegetables, we figured it was time to assemble an eclectic collection of some of our latest favorites to get you through the summer.

Summer wine pairings call for a little extra consideration. You need plenty of light/crisp/fresh wine to revive, but you also need a few bold characters that won't shy away from the smoke coming off the grill. Not to mention, there's the challenge of what to pair with your eighteenth summer squash dish and that massive tomato salad.

Enter the Dragones
Casa Dragones Tequila Joven
A Premium Sipping Tequila Leading La Revolución

Elegance, Purity, Finesse...
Could we really be talking about tequila?

We recognize that the word "tequila" may be a bit divisive. Despite this spirit's rich cultural tradition and distinctive sense of place, the mere mention of tequila can quickly conjure up hazy, sticky memories for many of us.

However, the past decade has seen a revolución in tequila as a growing number of premium products have made their way onto our shelves and into outstanding, artisanal cocktails in the city's most respected mixology dens.

The Jura Master Breaks with Tradition
2007 Macle Côtes du Jura du Jura Chardonnay Ouille
Non-Oxidative, Absolutely Jura

Macle's Vin Jaune is the benchmark of Château-Chalon, Jura's most illustrious appellation. So when word got out that Macle was about to break with tradition and produce a non-oxidative (ouille) wine, we took it as big news and immediately sought it out.

To be honest, it took a little scheming to land the small amount of bottles on offer today.

Production is tiny. If you look for the wine on Wine-Searcher, you'll find it at exactly two places in the world: Crush and Stephane Planche's impressive Jardin des St. Vincent in Arbois.

The Greatest Dry German Riesling of 2010?
2010 Schäfer-Fröhlich Felseneck GG
*Special Futures Pricing Good Until Monday Only*

I have never before experienced such gushing and unanimous praise for a single bottle of wine.

I think there is little doubt that Felseneck is one of the monuments of 2010, if it is not simply the top dry Riesling the vintage (for that measure, only time will tell).

A Risen Star from Champagne's Deep South
2008 Cedric Bouchard Les Ursules Blanc de Noirs

Cedric Bouchard is one of Champagne's newest stars, anointed by Galloni's incredible reviews.

It was an incredible introduction, a producer few had ever heard of being put in the realm of Salon, Dom Pérignon and Krug. There are too many dripping lines of praise to quote them all, but this one sort of sums it up:

"These remain some of the most vivid, eloquent Champagnes readers are likely to come across and I can’t recommend them highly enough."

The Original. The Only.
2008 Sassicaia

Italy's "First Growth" at the most compelling price in the nation.

When it was first released to the public in 1968, Sassicaia sparked a revolution and spawned a riot of imitators - and thus an entire genre of wines that came to be known as "Super Tuscans." But NONE were - or have ever been - able to match the awesome breed, refinement and class that Sassicaia possesses.

Vinous, Serious, Singular, Cerebral Rosé
2009 Clos Cibonne Rosé des Vignettes

This is extraordinarily interesting wine, forget the fact that it is a rosé .

Let's face it: There's schism in the rosé world.

On the one hand, there are the crisp, fresh rosés to be drunk in the sun without much thought. Then there are the select few, the Cotats, Valentinis and Chateau Simones of the rosé world. Serious, vinous wines that hover between white and red wines and find themselves in the cellars of savvy collectors.

All But Immortal
2002 Domaine Huet Clos du Bourg Moelleux
Watershed Vintage - Perfectly Proportioned Chenins

Even those who didn't really care about Loire Chenin were forced to sit up and pay attention when the 02 Huets came out.

2002 was a watershed vintage at Domaine Huet - probably one of the three greatest in the last forty years, along with 1989 and 71. Here were integrated, elegant, bragging-with-dignity yet classy wines. The Moelleux, especially impressively, were almost perfectly proportioned.
