Just a few notes: While Clos is the vineyard that usually receives the accolades in Chablis (no matter who the producer), Dauvissat's Preuses is a force to reckoned with. In both 2004 and 2005 I don't think it's controversial to say that Preuses is qualitatively on par with Clos. The style, the terroir, of course, is different - Preuses is never as large, never quite as muscular, yet for classicists Preuses is thrilling in its form, in its finesse, in the bare, glossy, pungency of its minerality.
